Digital Picture Art

***When you save your work, name it "Digital Picture Art " ***

Directions

With this project, you will create a multilayered image using Adobe Photoshop (It's an application on your computer, not online. pixlr.com version E is an online version that can be used at home, but it has limitations).

Go to Google Images and search for a picture of nature. After the first set of images comes up, refine the search by clicking "Large images". You must click on the picture thumbnail, then click "See Full Size Image". Right click on the large image and save it to your computer.

Open your image in Adobe Photoshop (It's an application on your computer, not online. pixlr.com version E is an online version that can be used at home, but it has limitations).  Duplicate the Layers until you have 15 layers of the same image.

Now that you have 15 layers, you will add an effect to 14 of them, keeping one of your layers in its original form. To work on individual layers, you must click on the layer and maker sure the “eyeball” is visable. The top layer that has an “eyeball” is the layer you are looking at. If you want to work on a layer below the top one, you need to click on the top layer's “eyeball”, getting rid of it.

Click on the Filter menu and pick an effect. You can adjust the effects until you like it.

Do this to each of them adding a different effect each time, while keeping the first one the original picture.

To save each version (Layer), un-click the eyeball icon next to each layer except for the layer you are going to save. Go to File > Save  and select JPG (Name the first layer 1, the second layer 2, the third layer 3, etc.). Navigate to your Documents folder, create a folder in it, and call it Digital Picture Art and press save. Save the rest of the layers in the Digital Picture Art folder.

After you have your pictures saved, go to Canva.com

Insert your pictures, Add a Title, Credits (the website where you got your picture), Music, and Transitions.

When you are finished, export your project as an mp4 file and upload to Canvas.
