Biography

After being born in Hollywood, Ca, I spent the first year of my life in Washington state where my grandparents lived. We moved back down to Southern California (Ventura) a short while after I turned one. Luckily for me, things settled down from there. I spent the next 17 years in Ventura with my older brother and two very loving and supportive parents. After graduating from Ventura High School, I moved up to San Luis Obispo where I spent 6 years obtaining my B.A. in Liberal Studies and my multiple subject teaching credential. At the time I was hoping to stay in the central coast, but finding a teaching job up there was no easy task. Luckily for me I was able to come back to Ventura, which turned out to be extremely good for me. In that same year I was hired to teach at Lincoln Elementary School and I met my amazing wife Monica who I now have four beautiful children with. During my 6 years at Lincoln, I obtained my Masters degree in Education Technology and Learning, which allowed me to transition into a middle school computer lab position at De Anza Middle School. After spending a year at De Anza I transferred to Balboa Middle School where I currently teach the 6th grade Computer Skills elective, the 7th/8th grade Advanced Computer Skills elective and the Yearbook class. Along with the classes I teach at Balboa, I am the boys and girls basketball coach. There's a lot going on, always, but that's what makes life fun and interesting. Along my journey I have been very fortunate to have had some really great experiences and to have been able to share them with some really great people. Through the ups and downs, it is the drive to live life to its fullest that keeps me going!
