Portfolio Website
Your Portfolio Website is a place for you to collect your work from your classes (Especially Mr. Anter's Class).
Getting Started
Open a new chrome tab and go to Google.
Go to the waffle and click sites.
Click the blank one that has a plus sign on it. Put your name on the Home Page (the page that loads when you open a new site).
Adding Pages
Your site needs to have a Home page and a Middle School page. Under the middle school page you should have a page for your current grade level. If you have already started a portfolio website, you can add to it. Under your current grade level you need to have your classes, especially my class.
Adding Pages
To add a page, click on the "Pages" menu at the top of the column on the right side. At the bottom click on the plus sign. Add a name and click done. To put a page under another page, click and drag on it and hover over the parent page.

Adding Content to Your Pages
Click on the Links below to learn how to start building your website if you need help. Feel free to change the Design and/or Theme as well.
Your homepage is your introduction page telling us about you and your hobbies.
Add a 3-5 sentence description detailing what each page is about.
Add at least one related photo to each page.
Digital Media Page (This is where you will add your projects from Mr. Anter's class)
Your site needs to have as many projects as you can put on it with your opinions of each project. Along with your projects, add a link to Mr. Anter's website.
To Add a Link to Mr. Anter's Website;
1. Type the words, "Mr. Anter's Website"
2. Highlight the text you just added.
3. Click on the link button that apears above your text.
4. Go to Mr. Anter's Website and copy the URL at the top.
5. Paste it in the link section.

***If you are adding a project from Google Drive, you need to right click on it in your Drive and click Share". At the bottom under General Access, change it from "Restricted" to "Anyone with the link".***
Self Portrait- When you turned your Self Portrait into canvas you downloaded it as a jpg. It should be in your downloads folder. On google site go to insert > image > upload > and navigate to your downloads folder click on your self portrait and insert it.
Personal Profile - When you turned your Personal Profile into canvas you downloaded it as a pdf. Convert your pdf to a jpg by going to google and searching for pdf to jpg converter. Upload the pdf to the site and follow the steps to convert it to a jpg and download it. On google site go to insert > image > upload > and navigate to your downloads folder and click on your flyer and insert it.
Autobiography - Upload the PowerPoint into Google Drive drive. Then on Google Sites, click Insert > Drive. Search for you project, select it, and click Insert.
My Story Documentary - Upload your mp4 file into Google Drive and then insert it into your website.
7th/8th Grade Advanced Digital Media

World Travel Flyer - When you turned your flyer into canvas you downloaded it as a pdf. Convert your pdf to a jpg by going to google and searching for pdf to jpg converter. Upload the pdf to the site and follow the steps to convert it to a jpg and download it. On google site go to insert > image > upload > and navigate to your downloads folder and click on your flyer and insert it.
Technology Of Your Choice - Upload the PowerPoint into Google Drive drive. Then on Google Sites, click Insert > Drive. Search for you project, select it, and click Insert.
Bouncing Ball Animation - Upload your mp4 file into Google Drive and then insert it into your website.
Computer Parts College - When you turned your Computer parts collage into canvas you downloaded it as a jpeg. But when uploading into the website, you have to go to a pdf to jpeg converter online then download that version and upload it to your portfolio website.
US Historical Person Documentary - Same process as Bouncing ball, download to drive as an MP4 file and insert it to your portfolio.
Fortune Cookie - You turned it in as a Jpeg on canvas and now upload it to your drive with a file upload then insert it from your recent drive files on your portfolio website.
3D Computer Model - You should already have it saved as an MP4 video file animation from sketchup, then do a file upload to drive and Insert it to the portfolio website.
How to Turn it in To Canvas
When you are finished, click on the icon that has a head with a plus sign. Under General Access, click on the down arrow next to Draft Restricted and select Ventura Unified School District, then click Done. Copy the site URL (address) at the top and go to Canvas. Once you are in Mr. Anter's class go to the Portfolio Website link and "Start Assignment". Here you can paste the link and submit.
