Directions

Step 1 - Write and Record Your Narration

1. Write a short biography of your historical person (Using Word of Google Docs). Include important facts and details that say why this person is historically significant. What did he/she do to help the United States? What era was he/she a part of? What challenges did he/she face?

2. When you have finished your biography,  let Mr. Anter know that you are ready to record your narration to use the recording studion in Room 50. You can also record it on your chromebook.

To record on a chromebook: Click no the link to Install the Google Chrome Add-On, called Voice Recorder

Step 2 - Making the Music

1. Open Mixcraft on your desktop (Soundtrap.com is a free online alternative. Follow this link for a tutorial: https://www.soundtrap.com/home/creator/tutorials)

2. Click on the Library tab near the bottom for the sounds.

3. Click and drag the sounds that you like to the mixing board.

4. Add multiple tracks to your song.

5. From the file tab, click on Mix Down To > mp3.

6. Save your file into your Documents folder.

Step 3 - Collecting Pictures

Try to find pictures that go with the narration you wrote. They should not all be pictures of the individual. Include pictures that represent the era he/she was alive, places he/she lived, and/or events he/she was involved in.

Go to "Google Images" and start looking for pictures that relate to the life story of the historical person you chose.

When you find one you like, you need to click on the "thumbnail" imgage and "view" it on the page it is on to make sure you are getting the best version. Right click on the picture and "Save it" to your computer. Make a folder in your documents for this project.e

***Make sure you get the URL where the picture comes from to put in the credits. The pictures do not come from Google. Google is the search engine that finds the website that they really come from.***
