Name Tag

**When you save your work, name it "name tag" ***

Follow the steps carefully!!!

1. Remind Mr. Anter to send you the Name Tag temple if he has not done so already.

2. Once the template opens, slick File > Save and open the Documents folder. Then click Save. You should save your work every 5-10 minutes.

3. a. So you can see the entire page, click on View menu and click on One Page.

    b. Click on Insert > Word Art and pick a Word Art style that you like. Just make sure that it is dark and bold.

4. Type your first name in the box that says "Your text here". DO NOT TYPE YOUR LAST NAME

5. Click on the little circle on the left and right side of the box and drag it to the edges of the paper. Your name should appear centered on the page.

Once you have it centered, click on the line around your name and change the font to about 150. (Go to the "Home" tab, click in the font size field, and type in 150). You may have to adjust the size down if it is too long.

6. Once you have your first name centered and large, repeat steps 3-5 but type your last name this time and make the font about 85.

7. Place the mouse on the edge of the box until you get a four arrowed curser. Then click and drag your last name down in a bit below the center of the page.

8. Repeat this step with your first name so the two names together are in the middle of the page.

If you don't follow Step 8 carefully your name tag will not print correctly!!!

9. After selecting your first name, by clicking on the dotted line of the box around your name, click on the "Home" tab and click on the "Copy" button right below the "Home" tab.

10. Click on the "Paste" button.

11. Click and drag on the circular arrow at the top of the box to rotate the box, making your first name upside down.

12. Repeat steps 9-11 with your last name.

13. Make sure that the top third of the page is upside down, the middle third is right side up, and that there is NOTHING in the bottom third. The bottom of the paper is the base of your name tag.

14. Be sure to center your names, both left and right as well as top and bottom.

15. DO NOT PRINT! Raise your hand for Mr. Anter to check after you listen to the following message. If Mr. Anter is not available, minimize your name tag and get started on the self-portrait project.
